In today’s post, we are going to talk about the power of meditation and how to elevate yourself above thought. There is a noticeable shift in consciousness after you meditate for some time. And this post is going to share with you what life can be like once you truly sharpen the skill of meditation and learn how to be present.
What are thoughts and how do they arise?
Think of a dense black circle as the core of your consciousness. This is where all your thoughts pop up.
Most people’s awareness is typically placed on this dense circle which causes many of us to incessantly be stuck in thoughts. However, through meditation, you start to rise above the thoughts and instead shift into a place of inner stillness.
The POWER of meditation:
When you are able to look “down” at your thoughts you can watch the thoughts pop up and you can easily dismiss them. Thoughts pop up at a much slower rate and you are not constantly getting bogged down in thought. Instead you just presently experience life and gently dismiss unnecessary thought. You can achieve a place of peace where thoughts aren’t constantly popping up. The negative self-talk disappears. The can’t’s, shouldn’t’s, and won’t’s of thought cease to exist. Self-doubt disappears and what is left is pure bliss.
You feel as though you are a voyager, floating through life. Given the gift to experience each moment because it is truly the only thing unique in our existence of life.
You are a unique expression:
Our ability to experience causes us to experience something that no one has ever seen before. Your perspective, your thoughts, your feelings, your belief systems, your values, your intentions, your passions, your relationships, your ability to love, your existence.
Rather than being stuck in thought we can shift our awareness onto our experience. Then we can truly appreciate the moment and soak up everything about it. We can fully experience our unique expression of self.
What happens when you live in the present moment:
Your presence can become so moving that you effortlessly create exactly what you wish in life. Your awareness and skill of creating can be honed and sharpened and used in a way that creates inner freedom from all the usual drags of life.
Once the act of meditation becomes a sharpened skill, you will notice that your awareness becomes elevated above thought. Instead of constantly being stuck in thoughts, you become an observer of thought and merely watch them as they pass beneath you.
I cannot say that I reside on this level of awareness all the time, nor frequently. It’s interesting. For me, the words above are merely wisdom that I myself need to hear. I decided to share them all with you in hopes that they guide you too on your path. The power of meditation is incredible, why not take it seriously?
